Contraception

Our doctors and nurses are able to provide a range of contraception options for you. These range from contraceptive pill checks which can be arranged with a nurse, to long acting contraceptive advice(probably the most reliable contraceptive available.)
We have doctors who are trained to insert coils, and insert and remove the contraceptive implant, which is simply fitted under the skin of your upper arm.
If you would like to discuss your contraceptive choices, then please make an appointment to see one of our doctors.

Contraception explained:

There are many different methods of contraception. Your GP will discuss your choices with you to find the type that will work best for you.

Contraception is free for most people in the UK and allows you to choose when and if you want to have a baby. The only way to help protect yourself against sexually transmitted infections (STIs) is to use a condom every time you have sex. Other methods of contraception prevent pregnancy but don't protect against STIs.
